People Coordinator - Fixed Term (9 Months) Strictly No Agencies (Cambridge, UK)

Location: Cambridge, UK (hybrid flexibility with 3 days in the office)
Reporting to: Chief People Officer

The Opportunity

Join Cycle's dynamic People team as a People Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you'll manage HR administration and payroll for our UK operations, while also providing ad-hoc support to our US employees. About Cycle
At Cycle we focus on providing treatments and services for patients with neurological, rare metabolic, and rare immunological conditions, most of which are genetic conditions. Some of our patients are diagnosed with a rare disease at birth, others are affected later in life, and some can spend years trying to get diagnosed. What You'll Do

• HR Administration:
o Support and maintain our HR system (HiBob) to ensure all employee data is up to date and accurate.
o Draft employment contracts, change letters, and internal communications.
o Maintain employee records and generate HR metrics reports.
o Manage exit processes, including conducting exit interviews and processing accurate final payroll.
o Monitor and respond to queries from central HR inboxes and systems.


• Payroll & Benefits:
o Process monthly payroll(s) accurately and ensure compliance
o Oversee UK benefits administration (pension enrolment, YuLife, BUPA, gym memberships, EV Scheme, Cycle to Work)
o Support US payroll and benefits where required, including medical insurance and perks, working alongside the newly appointed US HR Coordinator


• Employee Relations & Compliance:
o Act as the primary HR contact for UK employees, addressing policy and performance management queries
o Assist managers with grievance, performance, and wellbeing issues
o Support visa and immigration processes, liaising with external legal partners where required


• Ad-hoc support:
o Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and plans including reward, performance, employee comms and engagement.
o Support and lead HR projects aligned to our People Plan and business priorities.
o Provide administrative support across various business areas as needed

Skills & Experience Required

• CIPD qualification (or working towards) preferred.

• Experience in supporting HR functions including payroll, HR administration and employee relations.

• Working knowledge of employment law

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.

• High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Tech savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supporting AI tools.

• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of key business processes
