What you'll be doing:
The People Compliance & Employee Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing HR compliance and employee relations programs to ensure a fair, legally compliant, and respectful work environment. This role develops and enforces policies, investigates workplace concerns, analyzes trends, and partners with leaders to drive consistency and accountability. The ideal candidate combines deep HR knowledge with strong interpersonal, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Lead employee relations efforts by investigating complaints, resolving conflicts, and ensuring consistent application of company policies.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on handling employee issues, performance concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor and maintain HR policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Track and analyze employee relations cases and compliance claims, including resolution timelines and recurring themes.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay current with labor and employment law changes and recommend policy updates accordingly.
- Deliver training and resources to managers and employees on compliance topics, respectful workplace behavior, and ethical conduct.
- Support and advise on matters related to workplace investigations, corrective action, and documentation.
- Partner with HR and leadership to build a culture of trust, respect, and accountability.
- Promote employee engagement and retention by proactively addressing concerns and ensuring timely, fair resolutions.
- Contribute to a consistent, scalable process for handling employee relations and compliance matters across the organization.
What you'll bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations and compliance.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving complex employee issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong discretion, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR) or legal credential preferred.
