This is a contingent position based upon contract award. KBR is seeking a Penetration Tester to join our team in the Northern Virginia area. This is a hire for a full-time client facing position supporting a government agency. Candidate must have current TS/SCI with poly. The role will function as a Penetration Tester for client websites, services, and systems and be responsible for completing hands on pen testing, documenting findings, and communicating recommended solutions. Job Duties: Work with government and internal teams to conduct penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and red teaming exercises to ensure that systems are compliant with government security standards and regulations
Direct and/or participate in the testing phase of security controls assessments using specialized knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, architectures, equipment, services, and standards
Assess government systems to identify all vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plan to address security vulnerabilities
Function as a subject matter expert providing testing expertise in support of the Risk Management Framework Minimum Qualifications: A CURRENT and ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT Engineering
Eight (8) or more years of experience in Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessment, incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics
Proficient in researching and evaluating emerging technologies relevant to information systems security; interpreting agency specific and federal security regulations
Experience in performing network and application-level testing using established test protocols and methods
Ability to work independently and lead detail-oriented tasks Desired Qualifications: Relevant Penetration Testing or Security based certifications such as GPEN, GWAPT, GISF, GXPN, OSCP, OSCE, OSWP, OSEE, CISSP, Sec+, Net+, CEH
Experience with Python, JavaScript, Powershell, or bash Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI with Polygraph Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
