Job Summary: Plans and administers physical therapy treatment programs to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability after disease or injury.
Uses an outward mindset to achieve goals while helping others. Determines appropriateness of therapies based on patient evaluations. Records treatment and patient responses as per policy. Reviews physician referrals and conducts patient assessments. Administers therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual therapy and traction. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills. Minimum Qualifications: Licensed physical therapist in Michigan or ability to obtain within three months; BLS certification required.
Preferred: One year of outpatient experience.
Working Conditions: Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
