We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with a strong background in Hadoop, Informatica, Axiom, and Python to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This hybrid role requires both hands-on development and team leadership, working closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure product backlog and requirements are well-defined, prioritized, and have clear acceptance criteria.
  • Guide the team in work breakdown, estimation, and execution of development tasks.
  • Serve as a team lead and mentor (while remaining an individual contributor), supporting team members in planning, estimation, peer reviews, and best engineering practices.
  • Identify skill and role gaps within the team and work with the Technology Manager to address them.
  • Assist the Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans when necessary.
  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet product acceptance criteria and maintain minimal technical debt.
  • Take ownership of compliance, security, and audit support at the team level.
  • Act as a liaison for production activities and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in system analysis, software design, and development.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Oracle PL/SQL
    • ETL processes
    • Python
    • Informatica
    • Hadoop
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Hands-on experience with large relational databases and ETL pipelines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical product owners to prioritize technology initiatives and address technical debt.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills in an agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Financial Regulatory Reporting Technology.
  • Prior experience using the Axiom tool.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, collaborative team environment.
  • Serve as a Lead System Architect on Pega projects, owning solution architecture and application design
  • Provide technical input on development approaches, environment, and specifications
  • Take full ownership of assigned development tasks
  • Provide accurate development estimates and T-shirt sizing
  • Collaborate with functional teams to establish and refine requirements
  • Participate in backlog refinement and sprint planning
  • Guide client stakeholders on Pega solution design, implementation, and knowledge management
  • Architect scalable, multi-tier enterprise applications adhering to Pega Guardrails

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years of hands-on Pega experience delivering large, complex enterprise solutions
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with business and technical teams
  • Expertise in Pega 8, Pega PRPC, and Pega PRPC guardrails
  • Deep understanding of enterprise class structure, workflows, and design patterns
  • Advanced experience with:
    • Case management, data modeling, integrations, agents, and performance tuning
    • UX/UI design and Pega UI guardrails
    • Pega upgrades, server configurations, and troubleshooting
    • Agile development methodologies
    • High-level estimates and sizing
    • Packaging and deployment
    • Database modeling and SQL query optimization, particularly with Oracle SQL
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Pega LSA certification (mandatory)
Desired Skills:
  • 3-5 years as a Pega Lead System Architect
  • 5-8 years as a Pega System Architect working on multi-tier web applications
  • Experience creating frameworks and enterprise-wide applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Additional Details:
  • This role is hybrid - 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NC, 2 days remote
