- Description: Child Abuse Intervention Department CAID
• Could be in person or virtual
• 4/5 inpatients/month
• 10-15 clinic patients/month
• 1-2 patients per day in the ED
• Possible weekend call but we would need to look at what that looks like and the cost
• Clinic is located on the Mary Bridge Tacoma Campus
• Coverage could be covered with multiple physiciansWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child abuse Physician to provide expert consultation and clinical guidance in cases involving suspected child abuse. The Child Abuse Physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners social workers and other child abuse experts to deliver timely high-quality consultations and support in child abuse assessments.
• Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers social services and law enforcement on cases of suspected child abuse and neglect.
• Inpatient support including but not excluded to the Emergency Room Inpatient Services and Trauma for suspected abuse.
• Review medical records imaging and other relevant documentation to assess cases and provide guidance on next steps in child abuse evaluations
• Supervise Child Abuse Nurse Practitioners
• Support education initiatives for healthcare providers within our network to improve early identification documentation and management of suspected child abuse cases.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within CAID
• MD/DO with board certification in Pediatrics and subspecialty training in Child Abuse Pediatrics preferred
• Licensed to practice medicine in Washington
• Experience in Child Abuse pediatrics with strong knowledge of child protection protocols trauma informed care and related legal processesBC in Child Abuse highly preferredFull Time Availability requiredTravel Caps Flight 800 max round trip Lodging 250/night max rental car Standard vehicle only no mileage No luxury upgrades of any kind.No Parking covered For Telehealth provider still must be open to Locums to perm. remote workers cannot be employed in the following states California Connecticut Florida Hawaii Illinois Louisiana Maryland Massachusetts Missouri New Jersey New York Pennsylvania Vermont Washington DC.
