The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Pediatrician to join a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Norfolk, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care for all. Your Role:

  • Provide direct patient care to clinic patients (examine, diagnosis, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans)
  • Participate in the review, development, and training of patient care policies, procedures, protocols, and standing orders
  • Maintain health records for all patients and provide appropriate follow-up instructions through the use of electronic health records
  • Provide continuity of care to patients and serve in rotation for after-hour care coverage
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for delegating, directing, and supervising patient care activities
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes

What We Are Looking For:

  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine required
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Nebraska required
  • Current DEA license required
  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices is preferred
  • Administrative experience as a physician in implementing community health programs preferred
  • Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
  • Ability to foster strong patient-provider relationships
