We are seeking an experienced Pediatrician for a 20-day locum tenens position at an urgent care facility in New York. Starting June 3, 2025, this role involves working 12-hour shifts from 10 AM to 10 PM on specific dates in June. The assignment will take place at locations in two cities, which are approximately 30 minutes apart. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide range of pediatric cases, including children under 22, performing splinting and suturing, treating various illnesses, and handling higher acuity cases in a pediatric urgent care setting. This position requires an active New York medical license and proficiency with Medent electronic health records system. There is also potential for extension beyond the initial 20-day period. Responsibilities and Duties:


• Provide urgent care services for pediatric patients up to age 22


• Perform splinting and suturing procedures as needed


• Diagnose and treat various pediatric illnesses and injuries


• Handle higher acuity cases in a pediatric urgent care setting


• Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments


• Order and interpret diagnostic tests


• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments


• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention


• Collaborate with urgent care staff to ensure efficient patient flow


• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Medent EHR


• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures


• Stay current with the latest advancements in pediatric urgent care


Required Qualifications:


• Board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Physician


• Active New York state medical license


• Experience in pediatric urgent care or emergency medicine


• Proficiency in splinting and suturing techniques


• Comfort in managing higher acuity pediatric cases


• Familiarity with Medent electronic health records system


• Flexibility to work at different locations as needed
