Pediatrics Physician Assistant

Pediatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Location: Nacogdoches, TX - Houston 140m, Dallas 160m - Full-time, permanent positionPosition Overview: Seeking a Pediatric PA or NP to join a community health center team, providing comprehensive pediatric primary care. This role involves hands-on medical care, including preventive services and chronic disease management. Candidates should be comfortable working independently under physician supervision and serving diverse patient populations.Key Responsibilities: Conduct physical exams and obtain patient histories Diagnose and manage pediatric conditions, with possible inclusion of all age groups Develop and implement treatment plans Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics Administer and evaluate immunizations Manage chronic conditions and perform minor procedures (e.g., wound care, nail removals) Educate and counsel patients and families Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and protocol development Assist with family planning and maternal/prenatal care as needed If bilingual, provide Spanish interpretation when requested Fulfill additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program Active, unrestricted license to practice in Texas Pediatric experience preferred National certification and ACLS preferred Skills & Competencies: Solid foundation in pediatric primary care Understanding of community health principles Ability to work effectively with underserved populations Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to collaborative care Cultural competency and ability to treat patients from diverse backgrounds Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary Medical, dental, and life insurance PTO and paid holidays Retirement plan
