BC/BE in Pediatrics

Position Overview:
Provide primary medical care for pediatric and adolescent patients (birth to 21 years old) as part of a healthcare team. This role supports the mission and goals of the health center.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide full-scope pediatric care: take patient history, perform exams, diagnose, treat, and manage care.
Maintain a regular patient caseload and meet quality and productivity goals.
Complete clear and timely documentation, including progress notes and required forms.
Review test results and ensure proper follow-up.
Refer patients to internal and external specialists or services as needed.
Communicate regularly with healthcare team members, ensuring patient confidentiality.
Participate in on-call phone coverage on a rotating basis (typically every 7 12 weeks).
Support quality improvement efforts, including chart reviews.
Stay up to date with the required certifications and medical education.
Mentor non-physician staff as needed.
Be flexible with work hours to meet patient care needs.
Follow infection control procedures and attend required training and meetings.
Report any concerns or unusual events to your supervisor.
Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Medical degree and completed pediatric residency.
Licensed to practice in New York State.
Board certified or eligible in pediatrics.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Experience in community healthcare.
Additional Info:
Introductory period: 180 days.
Physical demands: Sitting, speaking, moving around the office, and basic computer use.
