- Other Details: A Locum Ophthalmologist is needed to provide coverage for a Level III NICU with a 100% neonatal inpatient focus. The schedule and coverage dates vary, with responsibilities including remote reading and in-person ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) exams once a week, evaluating 3 5 neonates weekly. There are no other ophthalmologists providing coverage during this time. Support includes a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner who performs imaging and an on-site neonatologist. Candidates must be board certified (board eligible accepted) and hold an active MI license or active IMLC LOQ.
