Pediatric Surgeon Opportunity in Lakeland, FL.
Daily Responsibilities for a Pediatric Surgeon
The pediatric surgeon position will involve a balanced schedule, with an approximate 50/50 split between OR and clinic time, along with four hours of protected administrative time each week. Currently, the surgeons provide three half-days of clinic, two half-days in the OR, and spend the remaining time rounding on inpatients and handling consults.
Primary weekday call is covered by Advanced Practitioners, with surgeons serving as back-up for emergent surgical needs on a 1:3 rotation.
Requirements for Pediatric Surgeon
- Current and active Florida Physician License
- Current National Board of Certification/Eligibility in Pediatric Surgery
- AHA BLS, PALS and ACLS required
Hours For This Position
- Full Time with 3 1/2 Days in the clinic and 2 1/2 days in OR- with remainder rounding inpatients and consults
