We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Pediatric Director of Nursing to lead their nursing department in delivering exceptional care to a medically fragile pediatric population. This role is ideal for a dynamic nurse leader who brings clinical expertise, strong operational oversight, and a passion for improving health outcomes in children with complex medical needs. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing services, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and the overall quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for the nursing department serving medically fragile pediatric patients.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, developmentally appropriate, and family-centered care that meets or exceeds all regulatory, safety, and professional standards.
Supervise and mentor nursing managers, RNs, LPNs, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment.
Develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and standards of care based on current best practices and evolving pediatric needs.
Monitor patient care activities and outcomes to ensure excellence in clinical performance and patient satisfaction.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers.
Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to support operational efficiency and continuity of care.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in audits, inspections, and performance reviews.
Serve as a liaison to families, advocating for patient needs and supporting a culture of open communication and trust.

Qualifications:
Current RN license in NY (Required). BSN required; MSN or DNP preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of nursing leadership experience, including at least 3 years in pediatric or medically fragile care settings.
Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and achieving clinical excellence in a high-acuity environment.
Deep understanding of pediatric conditions, respiratory/ventilator care, G-tube feeding, tracheostomy management, and other complex care protocols.
Knowledge of regulatory standards including DOH, CMS, and Joint Commission.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
Experience in pediatric long-term care, skilled nursing facilities, pediatric home care, or subacute rehabilitation.
