Job Description As a PE Structural Engineer you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of our buildings. You will work closely with the Sales team, Revit/CAD operators, and production to complete project within production schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Effectively interpret blueprints/technical drawings
• Ensure structural designs comply with product specifications and codes for building location and travel
• Utilize Revit/CAD software to review and enhance drawings
• This position requires high attention to detail and accuracy, along with strong written and verbal communication
skills and the ability to interact with clients and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary for production needs
Work Experience Requirements:
• B.S in Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineering License in the state of Alabama
• Capable of designing and troubleshooting simple and complex structural systems
• Knowledge and experience in industrial/commercial structural design necessary to support protective relay
and/or communications equipment.
• Knowledge of protective relaying schematics and/or prior control building or communication shelter design
experience.
• Ability to interpret project specifications and deliver a compliant design package, accurate bill of materials, and
other technical detail drawings
• The ability to perform design quality reviews and work with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Have experience drafting the electrical design work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and staff
• Self-starter, and the ability to work with minimal direction to achieve project submittal deadlines
