Job Description Onin Staffing is seeking a PE Licensed Electrical Engineer for a manufacturing company in the Bessemer area. As a PE Electrical Engineer you will work closely with our Sales team, Engineers, Revit/CAD operators, and production personnel to complete projects within the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineers, Revit/CAD operators, and Production staff to complete projects on schedule.
- Ensure electrical designs meet specifications and code requirements.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Review and refine designs using Revit/CAD software.
- Maintain attention to detail, accuracy, and strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and staff.
- Hands-on electrical experience is a plus.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support Production.
Work Experience Requirements:
• B.S in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering License in the state of Alabama
• Capable of designing and troubleshooting simple and complex electrical systems
• Knowledge and experience in industrial/commercial electrical design for AC/DC systems necessary to support
protective relay and/or communications equipment.
• Knowledge of protective relaying schematics and/or prior control building or communication shelter design
experience.
• Ability to interpret project specifications and deliver a compliant design package, accurate bill of materials, and
other technical detail drawings
• The ability to perform design quality reviews and work with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Have experience drafting the electrical design work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and staff
• Self-starter, and the ability to work with minimal direction to achieve project submittal deadlines
