Durham Coast Primary Care Network hope to welcome a newlyqualified salaried General Practitioner to join their established team, underthe ARRS scheme.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinaryteam including pharmacists, paediatric nurse specialists, mental health nurse,CAMHS practitioner, personalised care roles, Advanced Nurse Practitioners andGP's.
The successful candidate will be responsible for workingthrough their own rota and will undertake a variety of duties including surgeryconsultations, telephone consultations, queries and visiting people at home.They will be responsible for following up their own investigations and willbenefit from regular supervision and reflection sessions with GP colleagues.
About us Durham Coast PCN serves a population of over 33,000patients from four practices; Bevan Medical Group, East Durham Medical Group,Southdene Medical Centre and Wingate Medical Centre. We are a forward-thinkingnetwork, motivated to deliver the best possible care to patients, closer tohome. Three out of four practices are "Deep End" practices, workingclosely with the ICB to deliver projects around reducing health inequalities.Our two largest practices are training practices dedicated to supporting thedevelopment and retention of GP's in our area.
Job responsibilities Main duties of the job:The GP willundertake a variety of duties governed by the GMS contract and objectives ofEnhanced Services including:Share ofRoutine and Urgent appointments both face to face and telephonePrescribeas per local & national guidelinesShare ofhome visitsTime-managecompletion of administration: letters, results, tasks, referrals, telephonecalls, emailsTakeresponsibility for appropriate referrals (following local guidance and goodmedical practice) and administration pertaining to themParticipatein Extended Hours between 7.30am - 8.00am and/or 6.30pm - 8.30pm if required bythe PCNWork withother health and social care providers to ensure a safe and integrated service.Provide comprehensive assessment, advice, and treatment for the registeredpractice population.Maintainaccurate and comprehensive records of consultations using SystmOne clinicalsystem.To provideclinical support to other members of staff, both clinical and administrative,in achieving the highest possible standards of care and QOF and EnhancedServices targetsThe contentof this post will be reviewed in consultation with the post-holder whennecessary and in line with the service developments.
