This job presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a group of talented professionals dedicated to delivering unique embedded hardware solutions across multiple technical domains. Your role will involve contributing to a multidisciplinary team focused on designing and testing integrated circuits for signal processing applications, developing custom hardware components, and analyzing existing hardware and firmware. Responsibilities

Design and test integrated circuits and hardware components for signal processing applications.

Assist with designing new products and processes, improving and maintaining existing ones.

Communicate with engineering personnel to coordinate design activities and ensure project completion.

Conduct design analysis to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.

Apply ASIC or FPGA place and route tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs.

Develop and maintain documentation for P&R design flows.

Assist with de-processing electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures.

Integrate new P&R tools and ASIC/FPGA design libraries into Government's CAD environment.

Lead the designs of new products and improve existing processes.

Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

Experience with PCB/SMT manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of place and route (P&R) tools for hardware design.

Understanding of integrated circuits, ASICs, and FPGAs.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for teamwork.

Ability to work with government CAD environments and tools.

Desired Skills

Programming experience for automated equipment in manufacturing.

Familiarity with specific SMT machinery and tools.

Knowledge of quality control standards in manufacturing.

Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting manufacturing issues.

Leadership skills for mentoring junior engineers.
