Proposed Annual Salary, Hourly Rate or One-time paymentEssential Duties - Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades on computer hardware, software and peripherals.
- Performs installation of network communications equipment, fiber optics, twisted pair, and hardware.
- Upgrades network hardware and software components as required.
- Provides hardware and software telephone support to the campus community.
- Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- Provides technical advice to University departments on software and hardware acquisitions.
- Writes and maintains user documentation, training manuals, and help documents.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred in computer science, computer information systems, or related field; and one to two years professional related experience and/or training in personal computing and network computing software, hardware and peripheral support; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
