The Project Control Digital Experience Designer, based in Plano, TX, is responsible for enhancing the user experience, accessibility, and design consistency of financial platforms and dashboards that support the Order-to-Invoice (O2I) lifecycle and Project Control function. This role involves translating complex processes into intuitive digital interfaces that drive adoption, ensure compliance, and facilitate effective decision-making. Working closely with BI Analysts, automation teams, project controllers, and subject matter experts, the designer ensures a cohesive user experience across tools such as the Health Index, IODM dashboards, and integrated financial platforms. The role plays a key part in driving UI/UX design standards, capturing user feedback, and continuously improving digital solutions to meet stakeholder needs.

What you will do

1. Lead UI/UX Design Across Financial Tools
  • Design and enhance user interfaces for dashboards, reports, and digital tools that support project control, governance, and finance operations.
  • Ensure UI/UX consistency and accessibility across platforms, including Power BI, Power Apps, and web-based tools.
  • Translate financial and operational workflows into clear visual experiences that support ease of use, clarity, and adoption.
2. Enable Seamless User Experience Across O2I Tools
  • Support the design and usability of platforms such as the Health Index, IODM dashboards, and financial performance monitors.
  • Align the look, feel, and navigation of the O2I tools and dashboards.
  • Simplify user interaction flows and reduce friction in data visualization, exception tracking, and decision support features.
3. Drive Digital Adoption & Feedback Loops
  • Conduct usability testing, gather user feedback, and identify design pain points to support iterative improvements.
  • Develop training materials, quick guides, and visual documentation to support onboarding and self-service enablement.
  • Collaborate with finance and transformation teams to ensure solutions meet real-world user needs and business requirements.
4. Promote Design Standards & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to global and regional UI/UX design guidelines and governance for financial tools.
  • Maintain a design backlog to support rapid iteration, upgrades, and enhancements based on feedback and evolving use cases.
  • Ensure digital solutions meet branding, accessibility, and security standards while delivering high-value user experiences.
The skills you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Data Analytics, Finance Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience designing interfaces and experiences for financial systems, business dashboards, or enterprise applications.
  • Experience in UI/UX testing, feedback collection, and iterative design practices.
  • Proficiency in Power Platform (Power BI, DAX, Power Apps), with knowledge of design tools, layout logic, and user-centric interface development.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for reporting, automation, and data transformation.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, or scripting is a plus for light customization and automation.
  • Experience working with SAP HANA, BW, Global Chronos, Salesforce, and other finance or project systems.
  • Familiarity with the O2I lifecycle, project control metrics, and financial governance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of finance workflows and stakeholder needs across the O2I lifecycle.

Your Pay The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
