About this position: LMCU is looking for a PC Analyst II who will be responsible for keeping the network computing systems operating efficiently and assures that computing standards are implemented and enforced. Extends IS support services to staff and members both in person and remotely. Performs operational tasks directly related to the credit union's PC equipment and account processing system.
What you'll do: - Installs, supports, and manages software and hardware devices (including inventory management/tracking and licensing).
- Responds to and develops solutions for component failures and complex technical problems in all of these areas to deliver a sound and stable computing infrastructure.
- Assists and responds to help desk requests and planning/coordinating special projects
- Participates in team and individual projects including new location setups.
- Creates service calls with vendors and monitors service calls to ensure timely repair.
- Acts as a point of contact for hardware/software vendors.
- Consults with IS management and other personnel to assure that IS standards for control, security, and data recoverability are understood and followed.
- Coordinates with other IS staff to assure that appropriate IS computing standards are implemented and maintained.
- Manages software upgrades to assure compliance with standards and control procedures.
- Creates and manipulates current PC images.
- Collaborates with IS network systems staff to support the following computing components: PC/LAN workstations, WAN communications links, printers, telephone equipment, and peripheral devices.
- Provides tier II helpdesk support to LMCU personnel.
- Acts as an escalation point for PC Analyst I.
- Researches and evaluates current technology trends.
- Makes recommendations regarding new technology to IS management.
- Creates queries and reports in inventory management system.
What You'll Bring: You'll like this position if you are - Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Experience in PC usage and hardware/software support is preferred.
- Current windows OS, "TCP/IP" and networking experience is a plus.
- Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.
- A+ or Network+ Certification.
- Experience in PC usage and hardware/software support.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, PC Imaging Software, Helpdesk ticketing system.
- Current windows OS experience a plus.
- Some physical work is required - must be able to lift 50-100lbs.
- Ability to diagnose problems over a WAN in remote locations.
- Must be able to install, troubleshoot, and support personal computers, Windows, network and data communications software and hardware.
- Proficient in Antivirus, diagnosing faulty hardware and software, software installation locally and remotely.
- Must be familiar with Office Productivity Suite and able to work trouble tickets.
