PBM Clinical Decision Pharmacist Details and Compensation:
- Location: Remote
- Payrate: $53/hr
- Required Availability: Training Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM EST (12 weeks, no time off allowed during this period)
- Business hours: 7am - 8pm EST Monday - Friday and 7am - 430pm EST Sat and Sunday - must have open availability, will have a set assigned schedule
PBM Clinical Decision Pharmacist Summary and Highlights:
The PBM Clinical Pharmacist Advisors will be supporting Medicare Part D prior authorizations. This fully remote, productivity-driven position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment.
You'll play a critical role in reviewing and processing prior authorization requests, conducting provider outreach, and ensuring compliance with Medicare guidelines-all while delivering a best-in-class experience for members and providers.

PBM Clinical Decision Pharmacist Responsibilities:
- Process Medicare Part D prior authorization requests
- Review clinical data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Perform outreach to providers for additional information as needed
- Accurately document decisions per compendia and Medicare guidelines
- Ensure timelines are met and service expectations exceeded
- Navigate multiple computer applications and dual monitors for data entry
- Communicate with providers and members by phone and/or secure message
PBM Clinical Decision Pharmacist Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days. Must be available for the full 12-week training period without planned time off
- Active Registered Pharmacist license in state of residence (must show active status with dates)
- 1+ year of experience in pharmacy practice (retail, hospital, PBM, or specialty) required
- Prior experience with Medicare Part D or prior authorizations required
- Comfortable working remotely with a dedicated workspace and wired internet
- Must be able to sit and focus for full shift duration with minimal interruptions
- Strong data entry skills and experience navigating multiple systems
- Computer literacy: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Access/Visio a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Must reside within the United States
- Dedicated, distraction-free work environment
