Overview of the Payroll Tax Analyst role:• This Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations related to payroll processing. Your key duties include:
o Tax Compliance & Reporting - Ensures payroll taxes are calculated, withheld, and filed in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
o Tax Payments & Filings - Prepares and submits payroll tax returns and deposits on time to avoid penalties.
o Reconciliation & Audits - Reviews payroll tax reports, reconciles discrepancies, and assists with internal or external audits.
o System & Process Improvements - Works with payroll software and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax processing.
o Legislative Monitoring - Stays updated on changes in tax laws and advises on necessary adjustments to payroll processes.
o Employee & Internal Support - Assists HR, finance, and employees with tax-related questions or concerns.
Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Tax Analyst:• 3+ years in Payroll Tax
• Very comfortable with tax compliance & regulations, payroll processing, timekeeping and understand tax laws
• Excel knowledge - pivot tables/sum formulas
• Strong communicator, and someone who takes pride in their work.
