This position will assist in the collection, organization, and processing of payroll. This is a stable, quickly growing organization looking to bring in a motivated and ambitious individual, hoping to gain experience in high volume, multistate payroll.

This is a temporary-hire position
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
- Timely and accurate payroll processing for high volume and multiple states
- Entry of bi-weekly hourly payroll; process bi-weekly payroll
- Process manual checks, reversals, and stop payments
- Maintain garnishments, direct deposits, taxes for employee records, and bi-weekly benefit premiums
- Annual reporting and handling of W-2s
- Periodically audit employee information
Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist:
- 3 + years of payroll experience or undergraduate degree
- ADP experience preferred
- Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment
- Assimilates and applies new job-related information in a timely manner
- Extraordinary customer service and ability to work effectively with other departments
- Effectively manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently
- Highly organized with very strong Excel and database skills
