Our client is poised for significant growth and needs to add a payroll professional to the team. The Payroll Specialist will join a team of three and will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain payroll records, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits.
  • Review and verify payroll data, including timecards, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits as needed.
  • Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure proper payroll integration and reporting.
  • Process off-cycle payrolls, terminations, and adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and handle sensitive data with integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a corporate or multi-state environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
