Vaco Phoenix is working with a stable and growing company, who is looking to add a payroll specialist to their fun and loose environment. This position requires the preparation, processing, and maintenance of basic payroll responsibilities. This person must have experience processing payroll 1000+ employees and have multi state processing experience. This position is perfect for someone looking to plant their roots and grow with a stable company.
This role is full time (40hrs/week) located in Phoenix, AZ paying up to $65,000 per year.
Duties and Responsibility:
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of full cycle biweekly payroll functions
- Help with payroll functions including data entry, timesheet review, reconciliation and payroll related record keeping
- Verify all pay statements during preview for accuracy and process adjustments if necessary
- Participate in month-end related tasks
- Timely and accurate reporting of manual checks
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Desired experience:
- Strong urge to learn and grow
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- General accounting background
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
