PAYROLL SPECIALIST

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for Partners across our multiple locations. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations while delivering excellent support to Partners regarding payroll inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process biweekly and/or weekly payroll for hourly and salaried Partners across multiple locations.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.
- Maintain and update Partner payroll records including new hires, terminations, transfers, and pay changes.
- Process terminations and final payments in accordance with state guidelines.
- Process off-cycle payments with manual checks or ADP pay card funding.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with managers and HR to ensure accurate timekeeping and Partner data.
- Respond to Partner inquiries regarding payroll issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Support in audits and provide necessary payroll documentation as requested.
- Process garnishments, tax levies or other court ordered withholdings using ADP's Smart Compliance.
- Complete verifications of employment accurately and in a timely manner.
- Continuously review payroll processes for accuracy and efficiency improvements.
- Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
- Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
- Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of multi-state payroll processing experience; processing payroll for 1,500+ Partners.
- Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping tools (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday).
- Working knowledge of payroll compliance regulations, taxes, and wage laws.
- Experience with filing multi-state payroll taxes a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field a plus.

PAY RANGE: $29.00 - $32.00/hr
compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure
