About Us:

We're a growing accounting firm with a strong focus on outsourced accounting, payroll, and advisory services for a wide range of clients (and we genuinely love what we do). We're looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team and help us deliver top-notch service to our clients. If you thrive on precision, love client interaction, and want to be part of a supportive and upbeat team - let's talk.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and process multiple client payrolls accurately and on schedule (weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly).
  • Handle all aspects of payroll: new hires, terminations, bonuses, benefits deductions, PTO tracking, and garnishments.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for client payroll questions and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure smooth integration of payroll and accounting functions.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience (preferably handling multiple clients or in a fast-paced environment).

  • Experience with common payroll systems - Gusto, QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, etc. (the more, the better).
  • Excellent attention to detail - you catch the things others miss.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with grace (and maybe a little humor).
  • Professional, friendly communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Bonus points if you've worked in outsourced accounting, public accounting, or a PEO.

Perks and Benefits:

  • Competitive pay: $30 - $35 per hour DOE
  • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time
  • Health insurance and 401(k) with profit sharing
  • Opportunities for professional development and certifications
  • A positive, collaborative culture where we truly have each other's backs
