Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a temporary role in the Accounting & Finance department within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage payroll operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Description

  • Accurately process payroll using UKG
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state payroll requirements
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies through data collection and analysis
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title or department/division transfers
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Stay updated on new legislation, policies, and procedures affecting payroll

Profile

A successful Payroll Specialist should have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in managing payroll processes
  • Strong UKG or Ultipro skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information
