NYC based (3 days in-office) Payroll Manager opportunity with a client in the nonprofit space. Must have experience processing semi-monthly payroll and experience with people management.

Description
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll.
- Make sure everything is processed correctly (salary changes, bonuses, taxes, family leave, disability, etc.).
- Manage a team of 3.
- Input payroll and HR data, including tax-related transactions into HRIS system.
- Review payroll data for accuracy and compliance with tax regulations, meeting all deadlines.
- Assist with accounts payable functions, including processing invoices and expense reimbursements.
- Stay informed of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with other ad hoc HR responsibilities as needed.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 6+ YOE processing payroll; 1 YOE in a people management capacity.
- Thorough understanding of payroll procedures.
- Working experience with payroll/HRIS systems (ADP required, Workday preferred) and Excel.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Demonstrated experience as a Payroll Manager, ideally within a nonprofit setting.
