JOB DESCRIPTION:
The payroll manager will help process payroll to ensure timely and correct payroll. They will maintain and update all payroll systems to ensure compliance and correctness, comply with all federal, state and local tax filings, and oversee journal entries to properly post payroll expense. Candidates will also perform accounting controls including data reconciliations, approval flows and security procedures. They will work with the payroll staff to oversee their work and ensure correctness and provide information to upper management as needed. Salary: $70,000-90,000k
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance degree
- 3 years payroll experience
- Good knowledge of IRS tax regulations
- Understanding of employee benefit plans
- Accounting software applications experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and it's pivot table functions
