Role: Payroll & Benefits Manager

Type: Temp-to-Hire (Open to Direct Hire)
Location: Hybrid - West Hollywood, CA On-site Mondays and Wednesdays; remote Tuesdays through Fridays
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Compensation: $110,000-$125,000 DOE
About the Role:
We're partnering with a globally recognized, trend-setting fashion brand to find an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to join their Los Angeles team. This manager-level role supports payroll and benefits operations for approximately 400 employees across the U.S. and Canada, offering a chance to grow within a dynamic, fashion-forward organization.
Top 3 Non-Negotiables:
- Multi-state U.S. payroll processing experience
- Canadian payroll processing experience
- Proficiency with various payroll types: exempt, non-exempt, hourly, salaried, commissions, and bonuses
Key Requirements
Payroll Expertise:
- Strong experience with multi-state U.S. and Canadian payroll
- Skilled in handling exempt, non-exempt, hourly, salaried, commission, and bonus payroll structures
- Experience in fashion, retail, or hospitality environments is a plus
- Solid understanding of U.S. benefits administration
Systems:
- Dayforce (Ceridian) experience strongly preferred
- Cross-platform payroll system knowledge is an asset
Leadership:
- Motivated professional eager to grow, take ownership, and commit long-term
- Target hire date: End of June
