A Dynamic organization is looking for an experienced and organized Payroll Manager to oversee both in-house and client payroll operations. This in-office role is perfect for someone with strong payroll knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle a fast-paced workload with accuracy and professionalism.
This role is key to maintaining payroll compliance, delivering great client service, and supporting internal HR functions. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in payroll and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
•Direct and oversee payroll operations for both internal staff and external clients to ensure seamless delivery of services.
•Lead, manage, and provide ongoing support to payroll team members to foster productivity and efficiency.
•Administer 401(k) plan contributions and manage health insurance renewals for staff and clients.
•Perform thorough reviews of client payrolls prior to final delivery or direct deposit to ensure accuracy.
•Utilize and navigate multiple software platforms, including QuickBooks, for payroll processing.
•Maintain accurate and secure documentation of employee payroll records, deductions, and compliance details.
•Handle garnishments, child support payments, and other statutory and voluntary payroll withholdings.
•Prepare and file payroll tax deposits and returns through federal and state platforms (e.g., EFTPS, state portals).
•Process year-end payroll documents, including W-2s, 1099s, and 1095 forms, along with electronic filings through IRS/BSO systems.
•Ensure precise quarterly and year-end reporting for clients while adhering to all regulatory standards.
•Support and assist clients during payroll-related audits, such as workers' compensation or retirement plan evaluations.
•Investigate and resolve complex payroll inquiries and compliance matters to ensure client satisfaction and regulatory adherence.
Requirements
Experience & Knowledge:
3-5+ years in payroll and accounting roles
Strong Excel proficiency (formulas, lookups)
Deep understanding of FLSA, wage and hour laws, prevailing wage
Familiarity with union payrolls, multi-state payroll, and 401(k) administration
Experience with 1099/W-2 compliance and reporting
Prior experience with QuickBooks and other payroll systems
Experience filing payroll taxes
