Position: Payroll Manager

Type: Contract to Hire

Location: Remote (Must reside in Southern California)

Compensation: $45/hr

LHH is seeking a dedicated Payroll Manager to join our client's team. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering the flexibility of remote work while requiring residency in Southern California. If you are detail-oriented, experienced in payroll management, and proficient in Workday and advanced Excel, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, deductions, and benefits.
  • Utilize Workday for payroll processing and reporting.
  • Perform advanced Excel functions to analyze payroll data and generate reports.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Workday payroll system.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must reside in Southern California.
