Payroll Lead - Multi-Union, Multi-State
Location: Portland, OR Type: Full-time Onsite CV Resources is partnering with a multi-billion dollar industry-leading client to find an experienced Payroll Lead to support a large, multi-union, multi-state construction payroll operation. This is a high-impact role for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to step into a leadership capacity. Key Responsibilities:
•   Lead weekly payroll processing for union employees across multiple trades in a specific division
•   Ensure compliance with union agreements and labor regulations
•   Collaborate with field leadership to review and reconcile time data and job costing
•   Maintain accurate payroll records for new hires, terminations, and changes
•   Oversee adjustments for wages, fringes, per diem, and expense reimbursements
•   Support and generate reports including certified payroll, job cost transfers, and compliance documentation
•   Mentor junior team members and act as a key liaison between operations, accounting, and corporate payroll
•   Participate in audits, process improvements, and system upgrades Qualifications:
•   4+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a union or construction environment
•   High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
•   Advanced Excel and payroll software skills
•   Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities
