Payroll & HR Administrator

Our client, a respected non-profit in Denver, CO, is seeking a Payroll & HR Administrator to ensure smooth payroll processing and support HR functions in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Payroll & HR Administrator Responsibilities

Payroll Processing (60-70% on Payroll Week, 50% on Off Week)

  • Process bi-weekly payroll and off-cycle payments

  • Manage and execute employee pay changes, ensuring accuracy in payroll records.

  • Set up and administer garnishments and 403(b) funding payroll contributions.

  • Handle discretionary and non-discretionary bonuses, mileage, and other reimbursements.



HR Administration & Benefits Management (30-50%)

  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices to ensure accuracy with current employee participation.

  • Set up and onboard new hires in Paylocity, ensuring smooth transitions and recordkeeping.

  • Manage and maintain employee personnel files, keeping records up to date.

  • Oversee benefits administration, including processing qualifying life events and updates.




Qualifications & Experience

Must-Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll and HR administration.

  • Experience processing payroll for a mid-sized organization.

  • Understanding of discretionary and non-discretionary bonuses, mileage, and reimbursements.

  • Familiarity with benefits administration and qualifying events.

  • Ability to track payroll-related items and run reports in Paylocity or a similar payroll system.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.



Pluses:

  • Paylocity experience (Huge Plus.).

  • Experience managing 403(b) contributions.

  • Basic Excel skills (SUM, formatting, data tracking).
