Our client located in Nashville, TN. is looking to add a direct-hire Payroll Coordinator to their team.
The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience in UKG, and comfortable processing for up to 1100 multi-state employees.
Duties:
- Process multi-company bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Audit employee changes entered in the HRIS system and process pay items such as retro pay, PTO payouts and terminations
- Coordinate with HR Generalist regarding benefit adjustments (LOA, enrollment issues)
- Ensure compliance with company policy and FLSA
- Work with managers to resolve timecard discrepancies and provide documentation upon request
- Troubleshoots timekeeping system issues, responds to payroll inquiries, and helps to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Assist with audits (collecting and organizing supporting documentation)
- Supports HR department, specifically during benefit open enrollment, acquisitions/openings, and 401k audits
- Generate reports as needed for management and third-party vendors
- Assist with specials projects on an as needed basis
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and deadline driven
- Prior experience with Payroll/HRIS and Time and Attendance systems preferred
- Base knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws related to payroll
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Knowledgeable in Excel, ideal candidate will understand functions such as formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookups
