We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Payroll Coordinator to manage payroll processes accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure employees are paid correctly and on time, maintain payroll records, and stay compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for employees
Collect and verify timekeeping information and attendance records
Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes
Prepare payroll reports for management, audits, and accounting purposes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Coordinate with HR and accounting departments regarding benefits, deductions, and taxes
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax forms, and discrepancies
Assist with year-end payroll procedures including W-2s, tax filings, and audits
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator or in a similar payroll or accounting role
Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll)
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and labor laws
Excellent math and data entry skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
Strong communication and organizational skills
Work Environment:
Full-time position
