Our HQ located in Troy, MI is looking for a highly motivated Payroll Compensation and Benefits Administrator to join our team.

The role ofthe Payroll Compensation and Benefits Administrator is to oversee the development, implementation, and administration of the compensation, benefits, and payroll processes. This role ensures that all processes are competitive, compliant with legal requirements, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Payroll Management:

  • Manage the full cycle payroll process - weekly, bi-weekly, off-cycle, and bonus payrolls.
  • Ensure that timekeeping data is reviewed, approved, and exported for payroll processing. Partners with the local HR team to resolve issues.
  • Compile payroll batch data in line with company policies and payroll timelines.
  • Utilize ADP's SmartCompliance to manage wage garnishments, liens, and child support orders.
  • Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system (employee's hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, taxes, garnishment refunds, time worked, paid leave and holidays).
  • Processes manual payments via ADP's Wisely Paycard program and post manual payments in ADP off-cycle run.
  • Facilitate tax audits to ensure accuracy and proper processing.
  • Serve as the liaison between external auditors and MSAS to complete quarterly and annual payroll audits.
  • May assist with quarter tax balancing and year-end balancing for assigned sites.
  • Response to and resolves any inquiries regarding employee's paycheck and payroll reporting by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Ensure payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the HR team to ensure accurate employee data and benefits administration in the ADP payroll system.

Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new benefits programs to enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
  • Manage the Open Enrollment process: collaborates with region leadership to ensure health and wellness plans meet company and financial goals; partners with local HR teams to provide OE materials, presentations, and training on the benefit programs. Ensures are OE changes are processed timely and correctly.
  • Verifies and ensures invoicing is correct and pay in accordance with company policy.
  • Partner with the benefits administration software team to ensure EDI feeds are established with each carrier and properly transmitting data.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration.
  • Administer two 401(K) retirement plans. Responsible for new hire enrollments, contribution processing, answers employee questions, and completes annual testing.

Compensation Management:

  • Develop and manage competitive compensation programs, including salary structures and incentive plans.
  • Participate in annual compensation surveys.
  • Monitor competitive trends and conduct market analysis to ensure compensation programs are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to design and implement compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with local law in terms of compensation and benefits.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Prepare, analyze and submit required reports to regulatory agencies or management upon request.
  • Support the finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation of payroll accounts.
  • Conduct audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of compensation, benefits, and payroll data.
  • Provide training and support to HR Teams on compensation, benefits, and payroll-related matters.

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related/equivalent education: a minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience (including 5-7 years in payroll processing position).
  • Experience with ADP's Workforce Now, Workforce Manager, and Smart Compliance.
  • Understanding of the full cycle of payroll processing and taxable wage concepts.
  • Knowledge of benefit related issues, such as insurance negotiations and 401(k)-plan administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of labor laws such as Wage and Hour, EEO Compliance, FMLA and COBRA, FLSA, Basic OSHA, Record keeping and Civil Rights Law as well as all Immigration related laws.
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills and an ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
