Responsibilities

Dover Behavioral Health System offers a healing environment that is reassuring to a patients' sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, Dover Behavioral Health System is accredited by The Joint Commission and provides psychiatric (mental health) treatment to children, adolescents and adults and substance use (drug and alcohol) treatment services for adults.

Inpatient care monitors and treats patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a five-day per week basis. Care is provided according to an established code of ethical conduct and strict adherence to patient rights.

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable/Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the accurate processing of all payroll functions and accounts payable functions. This position may also provide support to Human Resources, Accounting and Admissions functions as needed.

Qualifications

Essential Job Duties:
  • Support the CFO and the Payroll & Accounting Analyst with payroll, accounts payable, and clerical needs
  • Collect and process information for the hospital's bi-weekly payroll process; Enter time clock corrections into the Kronos system
  • Prepare the facility's weekly FTE report for the management team
  • Reconcile payroll with source documents
  • Code and prepare account payable items, including the setup of new vendors
  • Prepare and process accounts payable checks on a weekly basis
  • Key patient accounting entries and makes necessary corrections as necessary
  • File daily and monthly reports in a timely manner
  • Assist with the daily cash journal preparation for all incoming cash
  • Process and reconcile the petty cash process for the facility
  • Process all physician billing for payment

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of accounts payable/payroll experience, preferably in a health care setting, with a working knowledge of personal computers, ADP, payroll/accounts payable systems, Excel or any combination of education, training or experience in a business office environment.

Work Hours : May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
