SUMMARY:
Responsible for payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with Federal and State labor and tax laws along with all relevant regulations with a high level of ethical behavior, integrity, and confidentiality,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Payroll:
- Prepare and process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for U.S. employees.
- Prepare and process monthly Canadian, Hong Kong, UK, and Germany payrolls.
- Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions.
- Calcuate and process payroll related taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
- Prepare annual returns such as W2's and ACA reporting.
- Assist employees with access to the payroll portal, timekeeping, and onboarding systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies in handling sensitive employee information.
- Provide annual market data analysis for compensation within the organization.
Benefits
- Administer employee benefits programs, administration includes enrollments, employee changes, terminations, COBRA, open enrollment, and other benefits initiatives.
- Coordinate timely transfer of data with external vendors plan providers, and auditors.
- Prepare and submit timely statutory reports and filings related to payroll and employee benefits.
- Negotiate and contract with benefits brokers for services, premiums, and overall plan administration.
- Oversee disability and workers compensation for U.S. employees.
- Onboarding of new employees
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of payroll/benefits experience
- Experience processing payroll in UKG a must
- Strong understanding of Federal and State payroll tax withholding/reporting and labor laws
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) and/or CBP or CEBS (Certified Benefits Professional) Certification desired
- Fluent in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
