SUMMARY:

Responsible for payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with Federal and State labor and tax laws along with all relevant regulations with a high level of ethical behavior, integrity, and confidentiality,


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Payroll:

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for U.S. employees.
  • Prepare and process monthly Canadian, Hong Kong, UK, and Germany payrolls.
  • Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions.
  • Calcuate and process payroll related taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Prepare annual returns such as W2's and ACA reporting.
  • Assist employees with access to the payroll portal, timekeeping, and onboarding systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies in handling sensitive employee information.
  • Provide annual market data analysis for compensation within the organization.

Benefits

  • Administer employee benefits programs, administration includes enrollments, employee changes, terminations, COBRA, open enrollment, and other benefits initiatives.
  • Coordinate timely transfer of data with external vendors plan providers, and auditors.
  • Prepare and submit timely statutory reports and filings related to payroll and employee benefits.
  • Negotiate and contract with benefits brokers for services, premiums, and overall plan administration.
  • Oversee disability and workers compensation for U.S. employees.
  • Onboarding of new employees

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of payroll/benefits experience
  • Experience processing payroll in UKG a must
  • Strong understanding of Federal and State payroll tax withholding/reporting and labor laws
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) and/or CBP or CEBS (Certified Benefits Professional) Certification desired
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
