COMPENSATION: $35-$55/hr DOE

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 6-month contract

LOCATION: Irvine, CA - On-site


Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable professional to support key functions within our clients' payroll operations. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate compensation processing, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and providing exceptional support to internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage regular compensation processes in accordance with applicable guidelines and internal standards.
  • Perform detailed calculations and updates related to employee earnings, deductions, and employment status changes.
  • Maintain and review documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with reporting requirements.
  • Stay current on relevant laws and policies, and assist in adapting internal procedures accordingly.
  • Contribute to system improvement efforts by helping test and implement changes to related software and tools.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding compensation processes.
  • Generate summaries and reports for various audiences as needed.
  • Communicate procedural information and updates to relevant personnel to ensure understanding and adherence.
  • Support compliance with organizational, state, and federal guidelines through accurate recordkeeping and process management.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for reviews or audits.
  • Monitor and reconcile relevant financial records and data sets.
  • Apply appropriate classifications and codes to special payment types.
  • Interpret and implement terms outlined in internal agreements and policies.
  • Complete and file required reports with external agencies.
  • Support the training and development of team members.
  • Follow organizational safety practices and attend required training sessions.
  • Take on additional tasks or special assignments as needed.

Candidate Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or in the process of completion.
  • Certified Payroll Professional certification is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, Excel, or related software.
