A bit about us:We are looking for a detail-driven Staff Accountant with solid payroll experience to join our accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing accurate financial records, supporting monthly close activities, and overseeing timely and compliant payroll processing.

Job DetailsPrimary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and record general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
- Accurately process weekly payroll in a timely manner.
- Ensure payroll practices comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and address any discrepancies.
- Keep employee payroll records up to date and ensure data accuracy.
- Partner with HR and Finance on payroll-related matters and reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation.
- Contribute to general accounting functions including A/P, A/R, and journal entries.
- Prepare and review financial reports to aid in strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in accounting with hands-on payroll processing.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and payroll tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting and payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Paylocity).
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Proactive, self-directed, and a strong team contributor.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll reporting.
