Job Summary: The
Patient Service Representative Supervisor plays a key leadership role in our outpatient registration team. This position oversees daily front desk operations, ensures accurate patient registration in the electronic medical record (EMR), and acts as a liaison between patients and clinical staff. The Supervisor also trains new staff, assists with scheduling and coverage, and supports the Director with administrative and operational tasks.
This is a fast-paced, highly visible position that requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities: - Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide accurate information
- Process patient registrations and update electronic medical records
- Train and support new Patient Registration staff
- Oversee front desk staffing, review timecards, and manage daily operations in the absence of the Director
- Run daily reports and monitor worklists for registration accuracy and follow-up
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent customer service
