We're seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the welcoming face of our office and ensure that every patient experience is seamless, efficient, and positive. What You'll Be Doing: - Be the First Point of Contact: Greet patients and visitors with a smile and exceptional customer service.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly: Answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with efficiency and care.
- Ensure Accuracy in Insurance Verification: Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring everything is in place for scheduled procedures.
- Handle Pre-Authorizations: Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals for ophthalmic surgeries, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date.
- Work Closely with Teams: Collaborate with our clinical and billing teams to make sure everything aligns for the best patient care.
- Navigate the Insurance World: Communicate with insurance companies and follow up on pending authorizations or claims, taking the stress off our patients.
- Protect Patient Information: Maintain confidentiality of patient information with complete compliance to HIPAA.

What We're Looking For: - Experience: Front desk or customer service experience in a healthcare setting is a must.
- Attention to Detail
- Communication Skills: You can speak with patients, insurance companies, and your team members clearly and with compassion.
- Experience with Insurance Verification: Familiarity with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes is highly preferred.
- A Team Player: You work well with others to ensure smooth patient care and a great workplace.
