Work Week Schedule: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the PSR Lead, Practice Manager, and AVP, Clinic Operations, the PSR is responsible for performing a variety of non-clinical duties in support of patients, clients, clinic medical providers, and other ancillary staff following established methods and procedures.
Key Job Responsibility Areas: - Front Office Clinical Support: Serve as the face of the office and greet all patients with a smile and friendly attitude, use EMR to coordinate and schedule patients, answer telephones, route incoming calls, initiate triage requests, check voicemail system regularly, check patients in/out, verify patient demographics, enter health insurance information, collect co-pays and other fees, process payments, enter medical records into EMR system, conduct reminder calls to patients, fax medical documentation, sort, scan, and route incoming mail, route inbound faxes, assist in obtaining medical records, manage release of medical records.
- Provider Assistance: Maintain provider schedules to accommodate PTO/CME/Conference, reschedule patients as needed, assist with various administrative requests.
- Miscellaneous: Represent Trillium at organizational and community events, respect and support inclusiveness and diversity, demonstrate commitment to One Trillium values, maintain confidentiality of all patient, client, employee, protected and proprietary information, meet performance standards, participate in compliance audits, process improvement, and quality improvement plans.
Qualifications: - Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and 1 - 3 years of experience working in a medical office or clinic required. Medical Office Assistant Certification or other related education preferred. Medent Experience preferred. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Good telephone manners and etiquette. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and other staff. Good oral and written communication skills in English. Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred. Skill in documenting and maintaining patient care records. Excellent computer and organizational skills. This position has full access to sensitive and confidential medical records and HIV-related information on all parents.
Physical Requirements: - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Occasionally the employee must stoop, bend and lift or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
