All persons legally authorized to work in the United States ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non-rotating work schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. subject to changes. Occasional mandatory overtime and weekends as required. Responsibilities Under supervision of Foreman will maintain and mow the City's right-of-way and drainage ditches. Operate various types of machinery such as trucks, Slope mowers, Tractor with Batwing attachment, flat mowing tractors, zero turn mowers, operating weed-eaters, chain saws, brooms, shovels, picks, lopping shears, blowers, pole saws, rakes, trash grabbers and basic understanding of hand tools and power tools. Will require obeying all traffic laws while moving equipment from one location to another and following all City ordinance, policies and procedures. Will perform vehicle inspections, set up traffic control, pick up trash, and weed-eating. Will provide instruction and guidance to employees assisting on brush crew and provide entry level assistance to mowing crews requiring general understanding of OSHA safety regulations and safety issues; basic knowledge and understanding of hazards of constructions trade along with knowledge of surroundings. Will require completing daily vehicle inspection logs, mowing logs, work orders, completing injury report and have basic understanding and ability to use of MSDS sheets. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Requires a High School Diploma/GED Two (2) years of related experience A valid driver's license is required Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's License within 90 days of hire.
