UOVUNIUSREXTERNALENUS esponsible for the administrative or programmatic management of designated functions for a specialized department/area: optimal patient placement The Patient Placement RN will act as a liaison between internal and external physicians nursing ED PACU and other patient intake areas to expedite the appropriate and timely placement of patients. Coordinates and facilitates the placement of patients using clinical nursing skills and knowledge of clinical care requirements.
Assess the needs of internal/external customers according to established professional standards and institutional guidelines/policy/procedure.
Organizes and prioritizes services and activities considering the needs of the customers
Actively participates in quality improvement program development and professional growth activities for self while assisting in the professional development of others.
Evaluates effectiveness of services.
Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of services.
Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of services.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $41.26 - $54.52 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor's of Science in. Nursing Degree is preferred required within 5 years of hire date for all new hires.
Experience: 3 years relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of. Virginia required. Valid Virginia Driver's License (VADL) may be required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking and bending/stooping and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
