Assists pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. In Special Care Nurseries, the Patient Care Technician is responsible for assisting with the transport of healthy, uncompromised newborns from Labor and Delivery to the newborn admission nursery, cleaning equipment used on infants in the Special Care Nursery, and ordering patient care supplies from the storeroom and stocking the Special Care Nursery area. In Renal Services, the Patient Care Technician is responsible for assisting with the transportation of stable patients, preparation and maintenance of equipment, inventory and storage of supplies, and documentation of data on flow sheets. Patient Care Tech also acts a courier, delivering and retrieving items/materials as required. REQUIRED Current BLS card (CPR) High School graduate or equivalent
