Job Summary

The Patient Access Liaison II serves as the primary point of contact for patient access to Client's academic medical centers and Health Sciences Campus. This role is critical in ensuring smooth communication with patients and healthcare personnel through call center systems, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information. The ideal candidate will have proven call center experience, outstanding communication skills, and a strong customer service background in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main liaison for incoming and outgoing calls, electronic messages, and web-based inquiries using a call management system.
  • Respond to basic inquiries and direct patients to the appropriate medical personnel when necessary.
  • Communicate with healthcare personnel using text, voice, and email platforms to ensure timely delivery of messages and updates.
  • Schedule and confirm initial and follow-up medical appointments for patients.
  • Register patients in the system, verify insurance coverage, and advise on estimated financial responsibility.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry while ensuring data integrity.
  • Reconcile data and patient records as required.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and service in all patient interactions.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in a call center environment, specifically within customer service and/or the healthcare industry
  • Proven interpersonal and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage high call volumes while maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational certificates in healthcare fields (e.g., appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, or medical assisting)
  • Associate or Bachelor†s Degree in Healthcare, Business, Operations, or a related field
Certifications
  • Relevant healthcare-related vocational certifications (preferred but not required)
