POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises shift operations and productivity. Assures appropriate staffing needs on a daily basis. Promotes team environment. Oversees the daily functions of Admissions and Registration, Financial Counseling and Bed Control. Ensures that admissions and discharges are accurate and timely. Maintains strict confidentiality of patient records. Provides excellent customer service and adheres to the standards and behaviors of the University Health.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required. One year of college study or the completion of a recognized clerical vocational training program with medical terminology is preferred. Must have 2 years' experience in a hospital admitting or business office. Billing knowledge is preferred. Employees must have knowledge of contract benefits and negotiation of out-of-network benefits. Pre-certification experience is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
